MARS FOR TAURUS ASCENDANT:

Welcome back to the next planet in the series, Mars: lord of 7th (Scorpio) and 12th (Aries) house for a Taurus ascendant. This is going to be a major one as I know lot of people like to know about relationships and how interpersonal connections work. This rulership further strengthens the primary theme of Taurus ascendant around stability and rigidity.

Mars ruling the 7th house of other people, marriage, interpersonal relationships, business partnerships etc and the 12th house of loss, isolation, distant travels, bed pleasures among others defines that Taurus natives approach these themes in a fierce manner. When it comes to other people, Taurus want loyalty, passion, and stability in their relationships. Mars governs our desires and the courage/energy to take actions. They appreciate an active partnership where actions are prioritized over words. Scorpio, the natural 8th sign highly intuitive works well for Taurus in judging people around them. On a deeper level they would know who to commit to, who to get in business with, how to deal with co-workers and so on. We should keep in mind though based on the personal planets placement in the natal chart a person’s basic nature will be altered.

The same goes for Mars’s 12th house rulership, 12th house is one connected to our subconscious. It defines our dreams, intuition, imagination as well as our fears and anxiety. Mars ruling this house signifies a fiery focus on their subconsciousness. There is a drive among Taurus ascendant natives that lights them up on the inside about the things they are passionate about and they put a lot of energy on fulfilling does desires. This also explains to a degree their “stereotyped” stubbornness. Mars ruling these two houses of other people and their private life helps us understand that their expression of anger and aggression is generally more inwards. These are one of those people not easily angered but when rubbed the wrong way can explode.

For Taurus ascendant this Mars is exalted in 9th house (Capricorn). Having 7th lord exalted in 9th house implies partnerships need to bring spiritual growth and knowledge into these natives’ life. Taurus natives would do better with any sort of partnership that is grounded and provides a path for higher knowledge, opportunity to travel etc. Business partnerships would flourish if they are based on a degree of morality and ethics.

Mars is debilitated in the 3rd house (Cancer), which shows these natives don’t do well when challenged or threatened by people. They need to manage their anger and communication style when dealing with people in their life especially their intimate relationships and business partnerships. 7th lord debilitated in 3rd house implies partnerships should not be too desire driven. Taurus ascendant people do need passion in life but there is a requirement of balance when it comes to long term partnerships where desire or attraction should not be the only factor. They should focus on their life’s growth when it comes to such connections. 12th lord debilitated in 3rd house, again shows Taurus natives should not get too caught up in intricate details and the how’s of things when it comes to travel, business and look at the big picture. They would do better when their relations are based on ethical growth demonstrated through actions rather than flowery language or mental simulations.

That is all I have on Mars for Taurus ascendant for now… stay tuned for more.

SUN FOR A TAURUS ASCENDANT:

Welcome back folks! Continuing our Taurus ascendant series, let’s talk about the role of SUN for a Taurus ascendant native. Sun rules the 4th house ( Leo) for this chart which is the house of our home and family life among other things. Let’s quickly touch upon what Sun signifies first. Sun in astrology depicts our core self or our soul. It’s the ultimate driving force and vitality of any person. It describes our spirit and general attitude towards life. When this sun rules the 4th house, in a way it reinforces the importance of family life for a Taurus person. They are always protective towards their immediate family and home environment. They like to work on their home life to make it as comfortable and luxurious as possible. It is something that brings them a sense of peace and purpose as the 4th is a Kalpursh chart is our deep inner needs and wants.

As we have discussed, all the four Kendra houses for a Taurus ascendant are fixed sign houses contributing to their need for stability. Sun is a natural malefic but being the lord of a Kendra house becomes a functional benefic for Taurus ascendant, which means if the sun is functioning in its highest form, it can provide auspicious results for the native. By highest form I mean, a sun that is devoted towards what their soul is here to do. I have always iterated the fact that it’s the same thing that can bring all the good or the bad in life depending on how we choose to work with it. On the one hand, the sun signifies our soul, on the other it also defines our ego and pride. We need those as well to function in this world but if our Sun is more inclined towards the 3D Ego of our being it can result in more harm than good. We can correlate this with where the Sun is exalted and debilitated for a Taurus ascendant.

Sun is exalted in the 12th house for a Taurus native which is very telling here. It shows how a Sun in its highest form would manifest as sacrificing and giving when it comes to their home and family. They also would enjoy vacations that are more towards relaxation and indulging in luxury rather than adventures. Along the same lines they might also like spending their vacations at home where they have comfort and peace, for many their vacation can look like beautifying their home, mediating at home, landscaping etc. The 4th house also relates to land, property, luxury cars and other such assets. The sun ruling these areas imply that for a Taurus, they would want to put in the effort to improve or maintain their home and even manage properties. Real estate can be a good venture for these natives because Sun provides the necessary protection and strength needed for the domain. Another association with exalted sun in the 12th house is, they might like restoring properties and gaining wealth from that area. Their “good expenses” can be in investing in properties and maintaining them.

The sun is debilitated in the 6th house for Taurus ascendants. What this means is in general, Taureans do not like to do the menial work or be at the lowest denomination of their organization. They are hardworking people but would not like to be someone doing the most menial job. That somehow does not provide them the sense of purpose they need. This shows that for such natives, they need to keep a level head when working under such circumstances and taking that as a motivation to rise rather than getting frustrated and angered. Taurus generally like to be wanted or needed by others which makes them feel important and this debilitation explains why. The 4th lord goes into the 6th house (third from itself) resulting in debilitation showing that they don’t appreciate extreme effort without acknowledgment or roles that can appear that way to them.

That’s all I have for now. Hope you got some additional insights into a Taurus ascendant person and why they are the way they are because of the sun ruling their 4th house. I’ll be back with Mars soon..

MOON FOR TAURUS ASCENDANT:

Let’s now talk about Moon for a Taurus ascendant. Moon rules the 3rd house(cancer), dealing with the efforts these people make in life. 3rd house also governs, communication skills, ability to persist and endeavor, media association, relations with siblings particularly younger ones etc. Moon ruling this house gives us an insight on how a Taurus deals with these issues. The influence of moon’s characteristic can be seen/felt when these people deal with say their siblings or when they are put into situations needing their communication skills.

Based on Jyotish literature, the 3rd house is considered as a malefic house also known as an Upachaya house i.e one that grows and improves with time. Because of this, moon becomes a temporary malefic for this ascendant. The fickleness and volatility of the moon can at times bring issues and difficulties for these fixed, stability loving creatures.

Moon can give mixed results for these people due to its indecisive nature. This moon gets debilitated in the 7th house of partnership for Taurus but exalted in the 1st house itself. One way to interpret this is when it comes to any romantic or business partnership its best these people not involve many moon-like characteristics. Because that can negatively affect them and their loved ones. There is a tendency for these ascendants to lose themselves in the emotions of others and get distracted from their path of life if any partnership doesn’t work out. They should be very cautious of this love-sick nature of the moon and not get too fickle/ moody if their expectations or particular way does not go as expected.

But if this moon is used in its highest form, as working from the first, it an improve and utilize all third house skills such as networking, socializing etc to the best of its ability. Such a moon will then be able to use its nurturing and intuition to work for the native.

With these exaltation and debilitation placements as well as ruler-ship for the 3rd house, it is best for such natives to learn to master their emotions through meditation or yoga etc. And I think its not just for Taurus but for everyone to learn to honor your emotions and ride the waves rather than trying to deflect them.

More on other planet ruler-ships coming soon…

MERCURY FOR TAURUS ASCENDANT:

Welcome back, it’s been a while since the last article, let’s continue with planet rulerships for Taurus ascendant .. with Mercury. Mercury rules the 2nd (gemini) house of family, parents, personal wealth, speech etc for an individual and the 5th (virgo) house of children, creativity, self-image, education etc. Having Mercury as the ruler of these two houses gives us some insight as to why a Taurus behaves the way he/she does.

You might see that based on what these two houses represent, Mercury can play a very strong role in the family life of an individual. Where it’s placed in the chart and who aspects it is equally important. Mercury by its nature is very fickle and change oriented and so it needs a strong guidance from let’s say Sun or Saturn or Jupiter.

Because it rules the 5th house which is a trikone house and 2nd that’s a neutral house, Mercury is considered a benefic for Taurus ascendant. So if we are able to understand how to work with it in the best possible way, this mercury can provide lots of growth, success and happiness to such a native.

Let’s first talk about what it means for this planet of logic ruling the 2nd house of commerce, luxury and wealth. Taurus individuals are stereotyped as being very focused on materialistic possessions. That may be true but its actually this mercury rulership of the 2nd house that can do that, it is not the sign of Taurus makes them that way. These people have a very practical approach when it comes to handling their finances. Gemini is a sign of analyzing and the best way to utilize that is in the money sector. Because of this focus, these individuals are very efficient and responsible in handling their resources. They are always planning ahead and prepared for life.

Another aspect of such people is they can be great conversationalist and good at giving or writing speeches. They have a way with words, which seems to combine the subtlety and grace of Venus with the logic of Mercury.

This mercury also rules their 5th house which shows how these individuals like to express their creativity. The sign of Virgo is all about the details and organization. Taurus may not be very artistic in a way but they have a class and grace that makes them stand out. This also gives them a traditional approach towards being responsible with money for future including savings for children.

Now once we know what Mercury governs in this chart, lets also have a look at its exaltation and debilitation placements. For Taurus ascendant, the lord of 2nd and 5th gets exalted in the 5th house and debilitated in the 11th house, primarily showing us that with 2nd lord exalted in 5th Taurus do well when they plan for their future, keep communications one-on-one instead of addressing a social gathering, look ahead in terms of being financially stable for their children but not being defined by them. Because this lord being debilitated in 11th shows that this mercury, should not try to gain its worth through recognition in public. What I mean is, example, these people are great speech writers but if they keep that as a hobby or even something that brings them personal satisfaction, they will excel in it but if they try to make a business out of it or completely rely on recognition and gain through them that might not happen.

These are just some high-level observations on what Mercury can do for a Taurus individual. They can greatly be modified based on its placement as mentioned before. This planet of analysis and logic can be a fortune making planet for Taurus if used in its highest form. It is this logical approach in matters of finance that help such individuals in making a name for themselves.

This was my short take on mercury, will be back with the next planet, the nurturing Moon and will see how that plays a role in defining a Taurean personality.

VENUS FOR TAURUS ASCENDANT:

Welcome back to the series of planetary rulers for each ascendant.  After the impetus Rams of the zodiac, lets now move to the next ascendant – the tenacious Bulls. The focus of these articles will be on the individual planets and how they can function or be used to their best ability for such an ascendant. Please read the ascendant series articles for more information on Taurus itself.

Let’s get started with the lagna lord Venus. For a Taurus ascendant, Venus rules the 1st – house of physical body, self-image and overall how one projects oneself to the world and the 6th (libra) house of physical health, daily service, enemies, legal issues etc. So what happens when these two houses get linked due to ownership. Firstly, Venus ruling these houses implies that if you are a Taurus ascendant, the aspects of life that these houses govern will have a Venusian approach from your side. i.e first and foremost you will have a calm and pleasurable personality. People will always have a first impression of you as a friendly and polite person. This is because Venus governs beauty, grace, luxury and loves peace and comfort. There can be number of factors that can alter this, based on where Venus is located and if there are any other planets in the 1st house etc but we can safely assume, that there will be this underlying theme in these people’s life.

Secondly, ruler of the 6th makes these people more peace loving that the rest of the crowd. 6th house is all about battling your enemies, winning legal cases, dealing with health issue etc. It is considered as a difficult house, one of the upachaya houses that grow with time. You can understand having Venus rule this will impact the overall personality of a Taurus ascendant. 6th house is also about overcoming obstacles and working hard. It is this link between the 1st and the 6th that gives Taurus their obstinate/stubborn nature. Their capacity to endure something till completion.

One of the stereotypes of the Taurus sign, that they like to avoid conflicts and confrontations probably can be attributed to its ruler-ship of the 6th house, housing the most balance loving sign Libra. Such people like to deal with the 6th house matters in a more diplomatic way that their counter-opposites Scorpios or a martian energy person. They would rather try to resolve problems with negotiations rather than going to war in that sense of the word. Obviously not to say that these people shy away from fighting for what is right or theirs, but they rather not create inharmonious situations around them.

Coming to the concept of exaltation and debilitation, Venus gets exalted in the 11th house (of Pisces) and debilitated in the 5th house (of Virgo). This gives us some important insights into a Taurus personality. Just to note, although we are talking about Taurus as the ascendant but the high level takeaways can be interpreted for any Taurus dominant personality in one way or another.

The lagna lord being exalted in the 11th house implies if used with the best of its ability Taurus ascendants can be very good at networking and developing a large social circle. They can achieve this using their Venusian qualities of diplomacy and negotiation handling. It is best for such individuals to think of the collective and not focus too much on individualism or materialism. Venus in the sign of Pisces is all about merging with the collective. Taurus sometimes has the reputation of being too materialist, I believe it will be very favorable for these individuals to use their wealth in social activities either in non-profits or actual investment business depending on how their life unfolds. Along with the 1st, the 6th lord gets exalted in the 11th which is 6th from itself i.e the bhavat bhavam placement. What this can mean is for 6th house matters, it is best for such individuals to handle them with grace in public. Their 1st and 6th being linked can in some way make them their own worst enemy, diseases resulting due to life style choices etc so focusing on their health for example by restricting heavy calorie diet can go a long way for them (as pisces is a sign of the ultimate moksha and abstinence).

The lagna lord debilitated in the 5th house can show why Taurus ascendants are sometimes not able to deal with their children in a logical manner. They might overindulge them. They should not try to define themselves through their children. Trying to live through them might result in communication barriers (5th -virgo ruled by mercury) with their children. Another aspect that such people should be careful about is not trying to get recognized and placing their worth on their creative expression such as media, arts etc. They would do well in those areas as will be discussed in later articles but they should’nt put all their worth in such activities.

To conclude this, I would just like to say, for Taurus if they work with their Venus in the best possible way they are capable of doing really well resulting in financial gains (11th house) through consistent hard work (6th house) and improve their social presence and network.

That is all for now, will be back with the second/ fifth lord – Mercury in the next article.

SATURN for ARIES ASCENDANT:

The last planet to discuss for an Aries ascendant is the hard task master – Saturn. It rules the 10th house of effort, action, career, image in the professional world and 11th house of social circle, networking, elder siblings, friends etc. These two are also the natural 10th– Capricorn and 11th – Aquarius signs of the zodiac and being positioned in these two houses for an Aries ascendant shows that for such people Saturn governs their social and professional skills. How these people are able to make friends/ acquaintances, how they are at their job can be seen by Saturn’s placement in their natal chart.

Saturn naturally is considered very stoic, cold and an effort driven planet. Many a times, areas associated or afflicted with Saturn see delays and struggles. This is not because Saturn denies but because it likes people to put in their maximum effort in whatever they want to achieve. Any short cuts will not be allowed by this task master. Saturn brings in lots of lessons in our life and those are very much so needed for us to grow and reach to our full potential.

Now such a planet ruling one’s 10th and 11th house will have some implications. How these people look at the subject of these houses will be affected by Saturn. Aries ascendant people take their profession, career, worldly image, their networking skills very seriously. And this is definitely a great advantage for them if used wisely. Both these houses are upachaya houses meaning ones that grow and improve with time. And Saturn being the slow pace planet ruling these houses does indicate that many a times these people might receive more recognition in later part of their life, by which time they would have worked hard to achieve it.

This 10th/11th lord gets exalted in the 7th house of others and debilitated in the 1st house of self. Such an aspect can greatly explain several qualities or “stereotypes” associated with Aries people. The 10th lord being debilitated in 1st house signifies that such people do not do well with authority. They do not like to be told what to do and believe that they know better. Now if this is taken too far, it can make these people obstinate and rude when dealing with elders or authoritative people. This is probably where the aggressive and rudeness associated with Aries comes from. 10th is what we should the outside world. It is how we project ourselves in the professional domain and most times people will know only this side of you unless you let them in. The same planet getting exalted in the 7th house implies that Aries ascendant need to learn to work with others. They might not be able to take orders but they need to understand how other people function and be mindful of that. Once they can do that, they can achieve great professional heights.

Now considering the 11th lord exalted in 7th shows us that many of the aries ascendant hopes and wishes are linked to their spouses or partners. Their desires will be fulfilled if they are able to work with other people, especially their spouses. Aries is naturally a very passionate sign being fiery and ruled by mars, but they need to understand how they can work with other people’s passion as well. 11th exalted in 7th shows that they will gain a lot from their network circle via their partners be it their business partners or life partners. The same lord being debilitated in 1st just reiterates the 10th lord fact that such individuals should be vary of their over ambitious, over enthusiastic approach.

Aries rising people can be one of the most caring and passionate friends, associates, relative, partner that you can have provided they let other people be on the driving seat occasionally. They need to learn to work with others and maybe in the process rub some of their passion on them.

Thats all for now on Aries. Lets start with the notorious stubborn guys of the zodiac- Taurus in the next article. Stay tuned…

JUPITER FOR ARIES ASCENDANT:

Welcome back with Jupiter for an aries ascendant:

The great benefic, Jupiter for Aries ascendant rules the 9th house of fame, luck, higher education, travel and 12th house of higher spiritual growth, unconscious realm, hidden restrictions etc. Seeing the two natural houses Jupiter rules we can observe that it governs things of the metaphysical world, things that have to do with learning and growth. All aspects of these two houses can be connected to this theme.

In addition to being a natural benefic, being the lord of one of the trikones (trine 1-5-9) houses Jupiter is considered to be a functional benefic for Aries ascendant and hence if beneficially handled can give great results for such an ascendant.

Jupiter for this ascendant gets exalted in the 4th house of one’s land and home and debilitated in the 10th house of career and professional life. This shows us some important traits for why Aries are the way they are. It will also depend on where this Jupiter goes and sits in the natal chart but to deal with it in its highest fashions analyzing this exaltation and debilitation state can be very fruitful.

Jupiter the lord of 9th being debilitated in the 10th house shows, these people will typical not do well in trying to preach about philosophy and religion. They shouldn’t go into careers that demand such skill set. For Aries ascendant, it is best to deal with their religion in private. It might so happen that in trying to teach others they come out as fanatics or dogmatic. Aries is known for its aggressive/ harsh behavior being a Mars owned sign, and as one’s belief and spiritual practice is a very sensitive topic, if such people try to preach their views they might offend many. The same lord being exalted in the 4th shows that, all topics related to the 9th are best handled by an Aries ascendant at home, in a private secure surrounding.

Jupiter is also the lord of the 12th house. 12th being one of water houses, its lord exalted in another water house provides this strong link of expenses and investments for an Aries ascendant in the material domain. Even though the 12th deals with expenditure, if those expenses are somehow made into long term fixed asset investments that can bring in huge gains for such people. On the more spiritual side of this combination, 12th is about escapism, vacation, letting go. This getting exalted in 4th shows that Aries ascendants feel the most bliss when they provide a home type environment at their vacation or be able to have a home where they can retreat to escape from the daily struggles. This 12th lord gets debilitated in the 10th house which is also 10th from itself shows that, issues of the 12th should not be handled in public for this ascendant. They should not associate their self-worth and image through 12th house things example, there are people who like to flaunt how exotic their vacations were, how much wealth they have by spending lavishly on unnecessary items just for the sake of society. Such kind of an approach would hurt this ascendant, as it might do more harm than good to their image.

Based on all these combinations, for an Aries ascendant it is best to work with their Jupiter is a way that it strengthens their spiritual journey and knowledge in a less extravagant way. Furthermore, based on the natal placement and aspect it makes in the chart can be used to improve one’s life journey.

That will be all for now. Will be back with the last article for these rams on Saturn soon..

SUN and MOON for ARIES ASCENDANT:

MOON FOR ARIES ASCENDANT

Coming to the Moon, it rules the 4th house for an Aries ascendant. The 4th house governs ones home, mother, emotions, real estate, land property etc. In terms of physical body, it rules the heart. To understand or analyse any of these issues one needs to look at this house, any planets sitting in it, aspecting it, where its lord is located and in what dignity. We will not go into all these details, but just focus on the Moon being lord of this house and how it affects an Aries personality due to this lordship.

Moon governs all our emotions and feelings. It gives us the ability to empathize or sympathize with people. Where one’s moon is placed also shows how one relates to their mother, and how one deals with their own heart matters. In Vedic astrology and even otherwise, the placement of the moon is given utmost importance and that rightly so because if our mind is not stable and comfortable any amount of physical resources, opportunities will not be of any use.

Now when it comes to an Aries ascendant, this crucial planet rules the 4th house, is exalted in the Taurus their 2nd house and debilitated in Scorpio their 8th house. All this reveals a lot of information about such a person.

Because the moon, 4th lord gets debilitated in the 8th house Aries ascendant people should not let others emotions define them. What I mean is, 8th house is all about intimate bonds with others, relations where feelings are heavily involved. The moon going and getting debilitated there implies that if such Aries individual do not put boundaries for themselves and worry about what other people think of them and start defining themselves through them they get totally thrown away from their path and purpose in life.

It is best for such individuals to keep healthy emotional boundaries with people, which many a times they people naturally do. This does not mean that they should not be considerate of others emotions, they should but also maintain a healthy level of detachment.

The same moon goes and gets exalted in the 2nd house of immediate family and material wealth. What this shows is, Aries ascendant individual love to take care of their immediate family and provide for them. And perhaps its best for them to do that. These people get great emotional satisfaction by taking care of their material responsibilities. The best way to use the moon as the 4th lord for such people is to not invest heavily with what other people think and put that effort in taking care of their home and family.

Please note, the actual behavior will differ for every Aries ascendant individual based on the actual placement of the moon and who is aspecting it in their natal chart. This is just a small fragment of the story that such an individual is playing out.

SUN FOR ARIES ASCENDANT:

Sun for an aries ascendant is an interesting planet because it gets exalted in the 1st house (aries) and debilitated in the 7th house( of libra) while ruling the 5th house of creativity and self-expression. Being the lord of a trikon house, Sun becomes a functional benefic for Aries ascendant people and hence if worked with correctly will give good results to the native.

Sun in general, plays a very important part in building someone’s personality. In Vedic astrology it is considered as the soul or “aatma” of the person. How a person turns out to become is hugely governed by the Sun’s placement – house/ sign/ nakshatra wise as well as any aspects to it. The sun represents our ego, our personality, our ability to use or gather resources in life. It shows what our actual purpose on this earth is.

This planet of self and ego rules the 5th house of Leo for an Aries ascendant, making them deal with 5th house matter with lot of vigor and zeal. 5th house relates to how’s ones creative ability, how you are able to learn and educate yourself, how you express your personality etc. Trine or trikon houses supplement each other, implying that the 5th house improves or adds to the 1st house of physical self and personality. It governs your education that can help you improve your life, so does the 9th house. The Sun being the lord of this house shows Aries ascendant have a personal soul theme attached to their self expression, their education, their children, love and romance and anything the 5th house is associated with.

Thats all for these luminaries for now governing the 4th and 5th houses. Coming next will be Jupiter the 9th and 12th lord for these Rams.

MERCURY FOR ARIES ASCENDANT:

Welcome back to the next ruler discussion for aries ascendant folks – mercury.

Mercury rules the 3rd house of communication, courage, efforts, skills among other things and the 6th house of mundane life, health, conflicts , dealing with enemies etc. For this ascendant, mercury gets exalted in its own sign of Virgo in the 6th and debilitated in Pisces in the 12th. This gives some important information on why Aries behaves the way they do and maybe should if they don’t.

Based on where mercury is situated in the natal chart, Aries ascendant will deal with that house in a challenging way. Being lord on 3rd and 6th both houses that grow with time (upachaya houses) and need a learning curve, these people need to be extra careful on how they communicate in life and deal with mercury. Primarily because, based on how they interact with people in their day to day life can bring in peace or discord. Their style of communication, how much effort do they put in in a task, how they handle daily life issues is all governed by this logical and analytical planet. This is the reason why Aries people are usually more logical in their approach than emotional when it comes to their day to day activities. They like to be able to find solutions to problems by applying all possible analytical skills and they should.

Mercury ruling their 3rd house gives these Aries ascendants the ability to be very rational and logical. They do their research and try to find the best possible solution.  As the ruler of 6th, it shows the person’s capacity to deal with enemies. Mercury brings intelligence to the war, metaphorically speaking. If these people use their mercury well, they can very skillfully deal with their “enemies”, basically the difficult people in their life. Both are upachaya houses, which shows that Aries need to develop their intelligence, skills, talents, ability to deal with problems as they grow in life. They need to learn not be selfish and think about themselves all the time and take help and support from like-minded people.

Mercury being exalted in 6th shows the same. The best functioning for mercury would be when its analytical abilities are used to resolve conflicts and take care of daily life. Also, if mercury is well positioned and is in good dignity, such people can take criticism in a healthy way and utilize it to improve rather than getting offended by them. Aries people can sometimes be considered as very self- centered and defensive in their approach to deal with people. But if they can grow up to have this well-developed mercury they will be able to get out of this attitude.

On the other side, mercury debilitation in the 12th (sign of Pisces) shows, emotionally dealing with conflicts, legal issues etc will not be work out for them. They should not use their vulnerable side when dealing with life situations, rather use their intellect to support them out of the situation. 12th house also represents expenses. So when it comes to that, Aries might not be able to handle that very well. Maybe for them having a spouse (Venus exalted here, ruling the 2nd/7th house) that can take care of the finances will be more beneficial. This also shows that even though they need to deal with conflicts with intelligence and as soon as possible they also need to learn to let go and enjoy the peace from time to time, maybe go on vacations and not think about work and daily chores there. This will allow them to rejuvenate themselves and prepare for whats to come ahead in a more balanced way.

If you are an Aries ascendant or know one, see where your mercury is placed and how it resonates with this. Mercury is all about analysis, see if you can analyze it.

That is all for this analytical planet. Will be back with the moon and sun lordships next…

VENUS FOR ARIES ASCENDANT

Next up is Venus for these martian people:

Venus the planet of love, beauty and luxury rules the 2nd (Taurus) and 7th (Libra) house for an Aries ascendant. These are the natural 2nd and 7th signs as well and so easier to interpret. How Venus behaves for this ascendant will primarily depend on where it is placed and who is aspecting it. Also the placement of Venus in a house will signify how you would relate to your family, material wealth (2nd house issues) and your spouse or business associates (7th house).

The 2nd house in a natal chart represents many things including immediate family, material wealth, a person’s voice and throat etc. This being ruled by Venus implies that an aries ascendant loves beauty and luxury. They love to have material possessions and adore their family. Depending on where venus is placed, their expression to show this will be modified. Eg, if Venus is placed in 4th house, 2nd lord placed there will make such people work on improving their home environment such that they can provide the best and most comfortable living environment for their family. This being 3rd from itself will make them take a lot of effort in fulfilling this desire.

Similarly, the placement of Venus will also affect who and what they like in a life partner. Venus is naturally a significator of the 7th house and for this ascendant it also rules the house. This also explains why Aries ascendant like beautiful partners. They might probably be more inclined towards physical beauty than others. They also like getting pampered and complimented by their partners. Venus plays the role of how their partner should be. These people love to have non-confrontational, non-aggressive people surrounding them. Now where this Venus is placed will show how they might behave, or find their partner and relate to them. Eg: if Venus being the 7th lord is placed in the 10th house will show that these people might find their spouses in their work environment, their partners might help them in their professional domain or atleast that’s what they would want.

Based on these characteristics a person with Aries ascendant should be able to use his/her Venus such that it makes their life journey smoother. In addition, Venus is exalted in the sign of Pisces which is their 12th house and debilitated in the sign of Virgo their 6th house. This gives a lot more insight on how to deal with your Venus and make it more beneficial for you.

Even though Venus is a natural benefic, for an Aries ascendant it becomes a functional malefic due to its rulership. Hence it becomes even more important for one to know how to deal with this planet.

Naturally exalted in the 12th house implies, in its highest form for Aries ascendant Venus wants to let go of all possessions and just merge with the unconscious realm of peace. It is naturally debilitated in the 6th house of Virgo, what this shows is an Aries ascendant person should not use a Venusian approach when it comes to dealing with conflicts, taking care of daily life struggles etc. They cannot use diplomacy, idleness, waiting for someone else to do their work. If they do, they might end up hurting themselves. It is this aspect which makes such people deal with life struggles head on. They need to handle conflicts aggressively, take action as soon as possible and use their problem solving skills for their daily work. Once they are able to do that, they can then enjoy the calmness of the 12th house that Venus wants.

For such people, if too much Venusian diplomacy is used in their daily life, it can block their ready to take action Mars which is what they should actually be using and cause hurdles in life. They need to activate their Mars (with the restriction of Saturn) to fulfill their duties. Once they do that they can enjoy their Venus by giving in to that peace and relaxation that the 12th house has to offer.

That’s all for now, will be back with how mercury is for an aries ascendant so stay tuned..
