Welcome back to the next planet in the series, Mars: lord of 7th (Scorpio) and 12th (Aries) house for a Taurus ascendant. This is going to be a major one as I know lot of people like to know about relationships and how interpersonal connections work. This rulership further strengthens the primary theme of Taurus ascendant around stability and rigidity.
Mars ruling the 7th house of other people, marriage, interpersonal relationships, business partnerships etc and the 12th house of loss, isolation, distant travels, bed pleasures among others defines that Taurus natives approach these themes in a fierce manner. When it comes to other people, Taurus want loyalty, passion, and stability in their relationships. Mars governs our desires and the courage/energy to take actions. They appreciate an active partnership where actions are prioritized over words. Scorpio, the natural 8th sign highly intuitive works well for Taurus in judging people around them. On a deeper level they would know who to commit to, who to get in business with, how to deal with co-workers and so on. We should keep in mind though based on the personal planets placement in the natal chart a person’s basic nature will be altered.
The same goes for Mars’s 12th house rulership, 12th house is one connected to our subconscious. It defines our dreams, intuition, imagination as well as our fears and anxiety. Mars ruling this house signifies a fiery focus on their subconsciousness. There is a drive among Taurus ascendant natives that lights them up on the inside about the things they are passionate about and they put a lot of energy on fulfilling does desires. This also explains to a degree their “stereotyped” stubbornness. Mars ruling these two houses of other people and their private life helps us understand that their expression of anger and aggression is generally more inwards. These are one of those people not easily angered but when rubbed the wrong way can explode.
For Taurus ascendant this Mars is exalted in 9th house (Capricorn). Having 7th lord exalted in 9th house implies partnerships need to bring spiritual growth and knowledge into these natives’ life. Taurus natives would do better with any sort of partnership that is grounded and provides a path for higher knowledge, opportunity to travel etc. Business partnerships would flourish if they are based on a degree of morality and ethics.
Mars is debilitated in the 3rd house (Cancer), which shows these natives don’t do well when challenged or threatened by people. They need to manage their anger and communication style when dealing with people in their life especially their intimate relationships and business partnerships. 7th lord debilitated in 3rd house implies partnerships should not be too desire driven. Taurus ascendant people do need passion in life but there is a requirement of balance when it comes to long term partnerships where desire or attraction should not be the only factor. They should focus on their life’s growth when it comes to such connections. 12th lord debilitated in 3rd house, again shows Taurus natives should not get too caught up in intricate details and the how’s of things when it comes to travel, business and look at the big picture. They would do better when their relations are based on ethical growth demonstrated through actions rather than flowery language or mental simulations.
